The latest Spring/Summer collection from W'menswear is now available online!
The inspiration behind the collection was the Tektite II expedition led by Sylvia Earle in the 70s whereby a group of female marine biologists explored the seafloor of the US Virgin Islands' Lameshur Bay over a two week period! The collection has incorporated a selection of incredible fabrics including H2OFF, used for the Spray Jacket, which according to PTJ is:
a 100% polyester ripstop, made using water repellency technology from Japan. It is durable, lightweight, and has a soft hand feel that resists dirt, decay, and mould. The truely fascinating qualities of H2OFF is its extremely high water-resistant property, achieved without the use of any surface coating. This is achieved by weaving the polyester microfibre tightly, creating a high-density weave structure that prevents water from penetrating through. What's important to note is that despite barely having any space between fibres, it has superior breathability that passively allows water vapour from our body to diffuse through them while keeping any external liquid out.
