Samuel's goal is to recover neglected footwear, or those in need of repairs, and not only extend the life of them but re-contextualise them all together. Then, taking into consideration the original shoe and its intended performance, history, and aesthetic - new design decisions are made to build on to the story of the shoe. Passing through at least 3 pairs of hands and 4 industrial machines, each shoe undergoes traditional shoe repair techniques to produce a one-of-a-kind product.
