Based on a magnificent piece from the early 1950s, depicting an eagle and a dragon glaring at each other with Mt. Fuji in between. The vibrant blue thread of Mt. Fuji stands out against the matte black acetate fabric, which has been aged to give it a more subdued sheen. The jacket does not feature the word JAPAN, so it uses a large area on the back, and the multiple motifs of the eagle and dragon are embroidered intricately without being distorted.

The reversible side features a dragon pattern drawn in colourful threads on a blue body. The composition of Mt. Fuji and cherry blossoms on the lower back is actually the same as the motif on the chest, giving the entire embroidery a sense of unity, and the red thread of the cherry blossoms stands out against the faded blue fabric as an accent.

The acetate has lost its colour molecules, giving the fabric a deep texture with a moderately subdued sheen. The texture of the ribs has been enhanced. The rayon thread used for the embroidery has faded.
